Events overview

"For Hedge End, England and St George!"
In late 2008 a small group of local people came together with the shared objective to promote our heritage and culture in a positive and inclusive way. Previously nothing happened in Hedge End to mark St George's Day, the English national day, on the 23rd April. We wanted to fix that and provide a focus for everyone in the Hedge End community to enjoy our often quirky English traditions. We now run events, such as concerts and barn dances, throughout the year in addition to our main event on St George's Day.
All members of our committee are local, dedicated volunteers from a cross section of the community. We are a not for profit organisation and any surplus is carried forward to the next event.
If you have any ideas for events that will enrich the community of Hedge End, let us know. Even better if you would like to join our band of enthusiastic volunteers, please phone 01489 795289.
